We offer two types of rubber granules: EPDM and SBR. These granules can be used individually or mixed together in various ratios to suit your specific needs.
EPDM = New Rubber
EPDM, or Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer, is a type of synthetic rubber known for its superior elasticity compared to SBR. It is commonly used in applications such as weather stripping, wiper blades and roofing. EPDM used in our rubber surfacing is specifically produced for the puposes of rubber paving to offer enhanced aesthetics, durability, and elasticity, making it a versatile and visually appealing choice.

SBR = Recycled Rubber
SBR, or Styrene Butadiene Rubber, is a type of synthetic rubber commonly used in the production of automobile tires. Tire rubber must endure extreme temperatures, resist moisture, salt and oil, and absorb significant kinetic forces. SBR granules, made from end-of-use tires, are manufactured by washing, grinding, and reconditioning these materials. Our SBR granules are produced in British Columbia from Canadian tires, ensuring high quality and eco-friendliness.
